Behaviors, considered to be the “how” of our life, are apparent in the things we do and the ways we act. Behavioral characteristics are categorized into four dimensions of normal behavior, referred to as the DISC model:
• D - Dominance
• I - Influence
• S - Steadiness
• C - Compliance
DISC, the universal language of observable human behavior, does not measure education, experience, values or intelligence. It simply measures an individual’s behaviors, or how people communicate through their actions as well as words.
The Dynamic Communication Seminar teaches individuals and teams the DISC behavioral theory and how it affects their relationships with other people. We learn that effective communication relies upon an understanding of ourselves, our behavioral style and method of communication.
We also come to appreciate the differences in other’s communication and behavioral design. This knowledge helps us develop plans to overcome our shortcomings, and take full advantage of our strengths to improve how we get our message across.
Ultimately, more successful interpersonal relationships will result with an increase in productivity, satisfaction and success among managers, employees and team members.
Dynamic Communication will open your eyes to a new way of viewing yourself and others and help you discover how to communicate more effectively based on the DISC model.
With interaction throughout the presentation in addition to thought-provoking self-reflection, this seminar helps participants:
• Understand the benefits of applying a behavioral communication model
• Realize your own behavioral design
• Identify behavioral styles by observing tone of voice, words, body language and pace
• Recognize, understand and appreciate others’ behavioral designs
• Adapt your behaviors for enhanced communication, understanding and relationships
